There is a replaced baseboard plank out of the four. There is an old restoration to the top of the left front left leg, some new timber.

An Impressive 16ft Banded Mahogany Triple Pillar Dining Table, the moulded recangular top on turned supports above down-swept legs terminating in brass paw caps moving on castors, with two additional leaves, 488cm by 124cm by 76cmA few scuffs and scrathes to the top that has been recently polished. The legs a little tired and need attention but are structurally sound. The central pillar can be removed along with the two additional leaves and the support bars are present to convert into a twin pillar dining table, when a twin pillar the table is 366cm long.

dating: circa 1700 provenance: Scotland, Of round shape, made of wood, the entire external surface covered with leather and decorated with various round and semicircle rivets (small damages and missing). The rear part featuring four wooden boards, with some engravings at the centre, the letter 'X' and collection number '359'. Few remains of the leather handles with three iron rivets on each edge. See similar shields in 'Ancient Scottish Weapons' by James Drummond, R. S. A, Edinburgh & London 1881. Shield no. 3 of the Targets IV table features a similar decoration.Two other 18th century shields can be found in the Royal Collection at Windsor Castle, Laking ill. 1462 and 1463. diameter 50 cm.
