Together with a small quantity of silver cutlery, including two silver forks London 1794 and 1798, table spoon London 1902 mm WWBT, and tea spoon London 1890 mm JATS.Condition ReportThis pocket watch is moving forward at time of entry, it has a winding key.
Silver matchbox cover embossed with three cherub, London 1902 mm W.C (William Comyns & Sons Ltd), measures approx 7 x 5 x 2.7cms, together with a pair of silver ice tongs marked HB Hester Bateman, silver plated sugar tongs, a silver table spoon marked London 1797, 6 silver teaspoons with decorative handles stamped ITALY, and a silver ladle inset with coin dated 1711, missing handle. Weighs approx. 221gms.
An early 19th century travelling eighteen seat silver plated canteen, Venetian pattern, housed in the original oak case with six drawers, comprising of two large carving forks, two large carving knives, eighteen table knives, seventeen small knives, eighteen table forks, eighteen tablespoons, eighteen dessert forks, eighteen dessert spoons, eighteen toddy spoons, eighteen fish forks, eighteen fish knives, six salt spoons, two fish carving knives, fish carving fork, nutcracker, two gravy spoons, two soup ladles, two grape scissors, eighteen fruit forks and eighteen fruit knives. Cutlery is in very good condition, box has wear consistent with age. Plaque to top reads W. Swan, Stradbroke Park. Note: This set belonged to a W.Swan of Stradbroke NSW, he was responsible along with others for opening up the interior of this vast region, the house which included over 600 acres was eventually demolished in 1966.
