Edwardian mahogany and inlaid bijouterie table, glazed serpentine hinged top, one glaze frieze raised on tapering square cabriole legs, united by x-frame stretcher, 62 x 76 x 42cm. CONDITION REPORT: Glass intact but lightly scratched thorughout. Deep chip at escutcheon, sun bleached, generally in good condition.

A fine and heavy-hallmarked rectangular silver Cigarette Box, the interior fully lined with cedar and the hinged lid with vacant rectangular cartouche and engine-turned decoration above a Celtic style border raised in relief, makers mark B.S. Ltd., Birmingham assay marks, 17cm wide (weighted) CONDITION REPORT: Very good original condition overall with no major problems noted there is a very very slight kink to the rear right hand side bottom where the box sits on the table - very small and hardly noticeable. Otherwise the box appears to be in perfect original untouched condition. There is some remnants of old cleaning fluid on the underside of the base which will clean off with a little water.
A hallmarked silver oval table Snuff Box, central oval vacant cartouche surrounded by a profusion of foliate-style engraving, makers mark W.N., assayed Birmingham 1873, 8cm wide, approx. 73.4g CONDITION REPORT: Overall it appears quite dirty, the cartouche is vacant and un-engraved, there are one or two very minor small dings around the edge of the circular box at the widest point, the lid seems to lock very tightly and there is some minor surface scratching upon close inspection. The inside is also quite dark and you can see where the lip of the internal spring was affixed, see images.
A very fine and heavy cast silver Table Snuff Box, the hinged lid heavily cast with a Roman chariot battle-scene above a body similarly cast with battle trophy including spears and shields etc., the lid opening to reveal gilded interior and presentation inscription, makers mark NM for Nathaniel Mills, assayed Birmingham probably 1826; 8cm wide, approx. 139g CONDITION REPORT: This came privately, was inherited and has been in the family for many years. The box looks in exceptionally good original untouched condition with nice crisp decoration (the box weighs 139.5g), the interior is crisply gilded and engraved with presentation inscription as per catalogue entry. A French, 19th century, circular, wooden Table Snuff Box, the convex 'glass' covering a Classical style gilt-metal plaque depicting figures and with French script etc., the underside of the base of the Box similarly decorated, 8.75cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: Overall generally very good condition, the item has come privately and been in the same family for many years. There is a small crack to the edge of the “lid” (see image). Apart from this seems in very good original condition. It is possible that there is a marriage with the bases but the interior tortoiseshell linings obviously match and the actual wood around them matches very well so we would not be surprised if this was an original box made exactly as it is now.
A pair of late-19th/early-20th century Continental porcelain and metal mounted baluster-shaped Vases, each delicately decorated with various birds perched upon sprigs and encrusted with varying sized handmade and decorated flower heads in Coalbrookdale style (possibly table oil lamp bases originally), 37cm high x 25cm (widest) CONDITION REPORT: Many of the flowers are damaged, many have missing leaves, some of the flowers have been stuck back on. There are old restorations etc.,
A very fine set of twelve ebonised framed and glazed (later) 19th Century Chinese rice paper Paintings depicting high ranking officials and attendants in various guises within interior surroundings with lavish floor coverings and various objects and backgrounds etc., very finely painted with the facial expressions extremely well defined, each Painting approx. 31cm x 21cm CONDITION REPORT: Dimensions: Paintings each approx. 30cm x 20cm - within the frames they are 37.5cm x 27cm. Picture 1 (number 397) - All looks good although there is a minor water blemish on the mount on the bottom. Picture 2 - All looks good too with no major problems noted. Picture 3 - Similar although there is a match head sized dent to the painting to the middle left of the red vase on the table. Picture 4 (seated dignitary with an attendant boy to his right) - There is some paint deterioration around the feet of the seated dignitary (see image). Picture 5 - Looks reasonable overall, some very faint minor foxing noted on wall and a very shallow indentation horizontally running across the forehead of the young girl attendant. Picture 6 - Reasonable condition with no major flaws noted. Picture 7 (lady with her left hand on the table with pink vase and flowers) - The “back wall” on the painting looks a little brown and stained in places including top left (see image). Picture 8 (Dignitary in long blue robe with an archer in a yellow robe kneeling before him) - Some vertical and horizontal foxing lines across the back wall area (see image). Picture 9 (Dignitary looking towards a blue vase on a table and to her right is a young girl in a pink robe offering a cup resting on a red bowl) - In good general overall condition, there is a minor darkening towards the top left and side (see image). Picture 10 (Man seated looking left in a blue robe and a servant in a yellow robe offering him a cup and cover on a green saucer) - Generally very good order bar three minor pin head sized foxing spots noted upper left (see image). Picture 11 (Lady seated in a blue robe on a chair with a round circular tripod table immediately to her left also a small attendant with a kettle) - Generally good order with some faint horizontal darkening marks noticed upon close inspection to the back wall. Picture 12 (Gentleman in a long flowing blue robe with a sampan hat on and feather looking to his left and boy looking at him with a long pointed blue and green fan in his right hand - Generally very good order, some horizontal darkening lines mostly towards the top area and to the right of the fruit raised on a stand upon the table. Overall the condition of the paintings is generally very good and commensurate with age, the quality of the paintings including the faces is very good.
A Chinese porcelain Kangxi style Plate decorated with lotus flower heads (hairline and chips to rim) together with: one other slightly larger Plate hand-decorated in underglaze blue with flowers etc. within panels (four-character Kangxi mark to underside); a circa 1900/1910 Chinese porcelain Plate centrally decorated with a building before water; and one further Plate centrally decorated with a vase, table and other objects etc., mostly in green and red, the largest Plate 25.5cm in diameter (4)
A very fine and unusual early 19th Century Biedermeier style flame mahogany veneered Work Table, the quarter veneered crossbanded concave fronted hinged lid opening to reveal a variety of highly figured lidded compartments, the central front hinged interior compartment lifting out to facilitate the opening of the slide below, raised on tapering wrythern stem terminating in triform base and scrolling ends tightly carved with acanthus, 53cm wide x 71cm high
A mid 19th Century hand decorated and mother of pearl inlaid tilt top papier mache Occasional Table, turned stem and on flower head shaped base with three shaped feet, 61cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Two of three pieces of the scallop edge top have been off and put back on some years ago so it does have repairs to the edge but some while ago. The surface appears reasonable and original with the painting centrally of flowers and the gilding reasonable although there is some rubbing to the top edge. The table does not stand upright as where the stem tenons into the circular base is now leaning over slightly. There are some further scratches and scuffs, condition generally commensurate with age. Apart from this it appears in pretty original condition with the three cast metal feet appearing original also.

ADDED LOT A large late-19th century ceramic Jardiniere Stand modelled as a Chinese table-on-stand, overall cobalt blue glaze, 93cm high CONDITION REPORT: Looking at the top there is quite a lot of surface scratching and glaze away to the circular top. One of the legs half way down has a large piece of ceramic away from it, there is light surface scratching to some parts and some glaze away etc. The rest of the piece looks in reasonable condition which is generally commensurate with age.
