AN EXTREMELY RARE BURR WALNUT TABLE REGULATOR BRACKET CLOCK the case of tapering form with molded pediment and plinth base enclosing an 8" silvered dial with Roman numerals and engraved cartouch signed 'THOMAS COLE' fronting a high quality eight-day chain driven fusee movement with deadbeat escapement and Harrison's maintaining power, also with typical Cole features such as his spherical pendulum and subsidiary gearing so that the winding hole is below the dial 37.5cm high - There is one other known example of this type of clock, it is in the Railway Museum in Swindon and was made for the Royal Waiting Room at Windsor Station
