EERO SAARINEN 'TULIP' DINING TABLE & CHAIRS a large laminated top table on a pedestal metal base, originally designed by Eero Saarinen. Also with a set of 4 Saarinen Tulip Armchairs, the fibreglass and metal chairs with upholstered backs and arms and with matching cushions. Table 47ins (120cms) diameter, 29ins (74cms) high. (5)
HORACE KNIGHT (KNIGHTMAN) DINING TABLE & CHAIRS in the style of Mouseman including a light oak rectangular dining table, supported on two trestle legs and curved stretcher. Also with 4 dining chairs (2 carvers), each with drop in seats and carved Yorkshire Rose to the pierced splat. Each item with carved Knight motif. Table 59 1/2ins (151cms) by 33 1/2ins (85cms), 30 1/2ins (77cms) high, Chairs 34ins (87cms) high *Horace Knight of Balk established Old Mill Furniture in 1984 to make good quality furniture in the Yorkshire School style. Many of his items are in the style of Mouseman, although he was not an apprentice himself at the Kilburn workshop.
COLLINSON & LOCK - AESTHETIC MOVEMENT SIDE TABLE possibly designed by Stephen Webb (1849-1933), the 19thc table with a coromandel rectangular top, inlaid with a border of floral motifs in bone or ivory. The ebonised base with splayed ring turned legs, and supported on cross stretchers. Stamped to the base, Collinson & Lock, 6871. Top 33 1/2ins (85cms) by 19ins (48.5cms), 26 3/4ins (68cms) high *Collinson & Lock were one of the foremost producers of Aesthetic and Art Nouveau furniture in London, with many items on display at the V & A Museum. They employed some of the leading designers of the day including T E Collcutt, J Moyr Smith, and E W Godwin amongst others.
