An Oak Refectory Table, early 18th century, the rectangular top of four plank construction above a plain frieze, on turned baluster legs with block feet joined by an H stretcher, 259cm by 73cm by 73cm Good uniform colour. The top has later butterfly joints visible to join the plank top. Some old decay to the baton on the underside of the table, and decay around the block feet. General wear and scuffs around the legs on the cross-stretcher consistent with age (see image). This is a four plank top (see images).
A 17th Century Oak Refectory Table, of three plank boarded construction with cleated ends above a plain frieze with scrolled brackets, on turned legs with block feet joined by a peripheral stretcher (repairs), 351cm by 72cm by 79cmTable top with various patch repairs and later sections of timber added. Numerous old decay and further splits, the top is also slightly misshapen. Numerous decay and splits throughout legs with sections of stretcher replaced. All feet have also been re-tipped. Structurally sound.
