George I visit to the City of London table commemorative, copper medal, 1880, by G G Adams, struck for the Corporation of the City of London, bare head l, GEORGE I KING OF THE HELLENES, rev. Londinia and Britannia welcome Hellas, views of the Parthenon and St Paul’s Cathedral beyond, D: 76mm. George I was the second son of Christian IX of Denmark. He was assassinated in 1913 by Alexandros Schinas, a known anarchist. 400 specimens struck. In fitted case with gilt lettering (losses to case). George III mahogany sewing table,frieze drawer above a basket, turned and runged legs on casters, 48x48cm, height 71cm.Condition report:The top is scratched and stained and has lost some varnish. There is a repair to the top right of the drawer. The drawer base is sound but scratched. The material on the outside is frayed. The drawer edges are rubbed. There is a crack to the top of the right back leg and some cracks to the veneer at the back. Please see additional uploaded images.

Frame is sound. Legs and friezes are relatively free of significant marks and wear. Distance between the legs on the end 55cm, distance between the legs along the sides 88cm.
