A Mirecourt Guitar circa 1880, bearing label Brugere a Mirecourt. Length of back 44.5cms, the table of spruce with black lacquer and fine mother of pearl concentric floral border decoration around sound hole, with six machine tuners and sixteen nickel frets, the back and ribs of birds eye maple with black and white edging, the neck and head ebonised, in a black wooden case. (2)Brugere was a pupil of Lacote and some examples of Lacotes late Guitars bear his signature on the table. (P46 "La Guitare- Sinier de Ridder, Italy 2007).

A CHINESE EXPORT LACQUER TABLE CABINET, 19th CENTURY, profusely decorated in black and gilt, the fret-carved surmount painted with three landscape cartouches above a pair of panelled doors each centred by a fielded oval panel painted with a pagoda and buildings in landscapes, opening to an arrangement of cupboard door and drawers, similarly decorated, fitted with a pair of iron carrying handles (losses to lacquer). 61cm by 44cm by 29cm
