Ambrose Heal (1872-1959) for Heals Furnitures, dressing table, bedside cabinet and chair exhibited at the Paris Exhibition 1900. Fumed oak inlaid with pewter and ebony with three drawers and secret jewellery drawer all with pewter drop handles, hexagonal mirror . Provenance: Designed by Ambrose Heal for the Paris exhibition of 1900 the suite was presented on a stand with chequerboard border designed by Ambrose Heal`s cousin the architect Cecil Brewer it was to become a hallmark of Heals advertising. It was awarded a silver medal. 56½ x 44½ x 21in. (142 x 112 x 53cm)
