Fine quality William IV / early Victorian silver table snuff box of rectangular form, with raised floral borders and engine-turned decoration, hinged cover with engraved armorial crest, gilt interior (Birmingham 1838), Edward Smith. All at approximately 6ozs, 9cm across CONDITION REPORT General overall condition very good. Some minor surface wear and scratching. No evidence of major damage or repair, however front left corner of both cover and base is distorted and cracked where it may have been dropped. This has also affected rear left hand corner. Some general wear commensurate with age particularly on outer edge of framework which has a slither of rim missing and wear to edge paint. Some light crazing/wear to varnish overall - no splits or cracks to globe itself
