A 17th century style oak refectory table, 19th century elements, with a plank top and carved frieze, on turned legs, united by square stretchers245w x 73d x 78h cmOverall condition is solid and usable. It is well made in a traditional way with pegged joints. Some light marks, mainly to corners and edges, but no damage or repairs. Removed from a house move. Was purchased for over £2,000 as 19th century, but it does not appear to be that old, but has been aged to give it the look of a 17th century table. The planks on the top are dry underneath and could be antique. The top lifts off, to make it easy to move.
A bleached oak circular dining table, 106cm diameter, together with a set of six 19th century ash bar back dining chairs, to include a carver (7)Chairs are usable, but quite dry, bleached, stained and have old signs of woodworm. The table is worn to bare wood, marked and dry. The top wobbles. Marked around most edges. Unrestored as were removed from a local estate in Sudbury.
A late 17th century oak gateleg table, with a hinged oval top, on turned supports, together with an 18th century high back chair, with a cane back (2)90w x 102d x 72h cmThe chairs looks to be walnut, with old woodworm holes. The back has been broken and repaired and an iron framed made to support it. The cane has been replaced several times, but the back is damaged. Later elements, such as the lower part of legs have been replaced and the stretcher. The rear legs are very worn away. Generally dirty and unrestored, having been removed from an estate in Essex. Table is solid and usable, but has many alterations, later parts, wear and is very dirty and dry.
