Collection of Middle Eastern silk and metal thread embroidered textiles, including Turkish towels, linen panels; pink satin metal thread embroidered table centre; metal thread brocaded and woven silk squares, one edged with metal thread brocade; and a fine linen chalice cover, European, possibly English, 25in. 64cm. square. embroidered in the centre with a rayed sun, the centre of which is embroidered ‘IHS’; surrounded by various individual floral sprays; church motif; tower motif; the border with birds and flowers, all worked in tent stitch, some fading; surface marks, remains of glue to all edges and holes to ground All 19th to 20th century.
