Lot 394

An Aquamarine Brooch, an oval cut aquamarine in a claw setting and within a chased and pierced scroll frame, measures 4cm by 5.4cm see illustration There is a small section of frame deficient along by narrow edge by the hinge. There is a small scratch to the table of the aquamarine. Otherwise the brooch is in good condition. It is not hallmarked or stamped but in our opinion would test as gold. It fastens with a pin and c-hook. The aquamarine measures 16.80mm x 20.50mm x 8.00mm approximately. Gross weight 17.0 grams. Condition Report made 1st September 2017.

Lot 440

A Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, an oval cut sapphire in a claw setting, within an undulating border of channel set tapering baguette cut and round brilliant cut diamonds, total estimated diamond weight 1.35 carat approximately, finger size N see illustration The ring is in good condition. The sapphire has slight abraision to some facet edges and a surface scratch to the table. It is not hallmarked or stamped, though appears indistinctly stamped '75[0]', in our opinion it would test as gold. The sapphire measures 14.62mm x 10.85mm x 4.30mm approximately. The head measures 21.60mm x 19.10mm. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour G/H, clarity VS1/VS2. Gross weight 10.0 grams. Condition Report made 6th July 2017.
