A 19th century mahogany dressing table mirror, oval with serpentine base fitted with three drawers and raised on bracket feet. Width 38.5 cm, height 50 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The mirror frame is structurally sound, the mirror plate is in good order. The top surface has numerous old ring marks. The colour is however generally good. All three drawers run smoothly. There is a small section of edge beading missing around the right hand top corner. All bracket feet are present and correct.
A Georgian oak farmhouse kitchen dining table, with four plank top, recessed frieze, drawer to either end and raised on legs of square section with centre and end stretchers. Length 209 cm, width 100 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Table top height to underside edge 72 cm. Table top height 74 cm. You could sit at the end of the table as the overhang is 12 cm. There is however an end stretcher. The side overhang is 6 cm. Height from the floor to underside edge of the recessed frieze 55.5 cm (this is at the side of the table). Depending on the size of the chairs, the table would comfortably seat 8 (3 at either side and 1 at each end). You could at a push get more people round the table but this would be cramped. The table legs have already been tipped. In our opinion the table could do with being raised further to allow knee access underneath the bottom of the frieze. The table has evidence of what appears to be long gone woodworm to all of the drawer linings and most of the legs and stretchers. As stated this appears to be long gone but it would probably make sense to treat this again. The table top also has evidence of old woodworm holes in numerous places which should be visible on our images.
A Victorian mahogany extending dining table, rectangular, with rounded corners, moulded edge and raised on tapered reeded legs terminating in brass and ceramic castors and complete with two leaves. Height 72 cm, height to underside of frieze 59 cm. The width is 103 cm. The length extended is 150 cm. The single leaf is 40 cm (included in the 150 cm). CONDITION REPORT: The dimensions of this table are incorrect in the catalogue. There is only one leaf. The height to the tabletop is correct at 72 cm. The height to the underside of the frieze is 59 cm. The width is 103 cm. The length extended is 150 cm. The single leaf is 40 cm (included in the 150 cm). The wind out action does operate but is a little sticky. The tabletop has been re-polished and has a slightly varnishy surface. It is however in generally reasonably good order with only minor surface scratches and marks as one would expect. The moulded edge is in good condition all round. The recessed frieze is missing the bottom edge moulding at one end. The table is structurally sound with no loose leg joints. The castors are original.
A George III mahogany tripod table, with dished top and snap action with turned column and downswept legs terminating in pad feet. Diameter 60 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table top has a full width crack. It has been re-glued at this point. There are other further stress fractures to the table top as well as old liquid damage. The snap action operates as it should. The table base is in good order with no issues other than slightly tired polish. The table is structurally sound.
A Regency mahogany library table, freestanding with three quarter gallery, tooled leather writing surface and fitted with two frieze drawers to either side raised on silhouette end supports with high stretcher and downswept moulded legs terminating in brass castors. Height 73.5 cm, width 107 cm, depth 66 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This table is in extremely good condition. As the table is freestanding and has functional drawers to either side it is likely that the brass gallery is a Victorian edition. This is simply pinned into place and could be removed. There are probably around 10 pins. The table top is polished under the gallery. The leather is in very good condition with only minor blemishes. The crossbanded edge is in good order all round as is the frieze. The drawers all run smoothly and are in good order with no missing cockbeading. The end supports and stretchers are in good condition. The legs are in good order with no sign of any damage or any repairs. We do not think the table has ever had any restoration. The castors are original and structurally sound.
A 19th century walnut marquetry and oyster veneered rectangular centre table, with twist columns and shaped stretchers and raised on bun feet. Height 72 cm, length 76.5 cm, depth 58.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound with no significantly loose joints. The top is flat with no warping. The marquetry is a little raised in places and there are small sections of loss and various stress fractures to the veneers. There are nibbles to 2 of the corners. The recessed frieze is in generally good order all round. The legs are in good condition as are the top and bottom blocks. The shaped stretchers are in good order also. 3 of the 4 bun feet have been affected by woodworm. This appears to be long gone and in our opinion is not problematic. The colour of the piece is generally good.
A Victorian mahogany extending dining table of moulded circular form, with 2 additional leaves raised on turned tapering legs with brass caps and ceramic castors, 78 cm high x 132 cm closed x 120 cm, the additional leaves measuring 55 cm and 48 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound. It is a fairly uniform colour. There are some minor blemishes to the top surface but no serious condition issues with the dining area. The legs are all secure. There are no loose joints. The castors are original. The frieze is in good condition all round with no moulding losses. The area around the winding aperture has the usual nibbles that one would expect. The table is in unrestored condition and has all of the usual minor scuffs and marks that one would expect form a table of this age.
A Victorian oval aesthetic movement inlaid and ebonised centre table, with four turned and fluted supports above legs terminating in castors. Width 114 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table top is flat ad in generally good order however there are visible join lines which should be visible on our image. There is a stress fracture also across the centre oval walnut veneered panel. The table top has the usual scuffs and marks that one would expect. The table is structurally sound. The four supports and centre urn are in good order. All legs are in good condition also. They do have scuffs and marks to the extremities. There is no evidence of any woodworm. The castors are original. The table top is not warped. There do not appear to have been any repairs and there are no significant losses.
