Lot 922

A Gillow of Lancaster satinwood work table, dated 1869, the leather inset top with a ratchet slope, over two drawers and a basket, flanked with two narrow drawers below the drop sides, raised on turned supports and swept legs and castors, stamped Gillow Copies of the estimate and design sheets are available to view where it is described as 'A satinwood and purple work and drawing table'. The table was made by Mr W Johnston (pencil signed to bottom of top drawer) for a Mr Young, via Maple & Co. £5 2s 0d was paid to Mr Johnson and the total cost to make was £10 3s 9d.
