A pair of Neoclassical style carved green stone and ormolu mounted table lights, 20th century, central column leading to ovoid onyx bodies mounted with ormolu masks and foliate swags, raised upon socles, 36cm high. A Dutch style gilt metal six branch ceiling light, 20th century, central column supporting six `c` shaped arms. 39cm high x 49cm wide; with a pair of gilt metal coronet three arm hanging lights and two table lamps, (5). An Italian ormolu-mounted, ivory and speciman marble inlaid table cabinet, late 17th/ early 18th century, of rectangular form, the spreading top with sliding cover over well, the hinged cover opening to reveal further well and decorated to verso with central marble square enclosed by cartouches of ivory scroll decoration around specimen stones . The two front doors similarly decorated to verso and opening to reveal an elaborately inlaid architectural interior set with seven drawers, two secret, and further drawer below. The whole raised upon associated later cabinet stand, 126cm high x 56cm wide x 36cm deep.
A pair of Italian painted composite, glass and gilt metal seven light candelabra, 19th century, formed of stylised gilt metal trees supporting sconces over urn form bases, 95cm high; with a further classical style spelter urn form table light, 40cm high, (3). A second half 19th century Louis XV style kingwood and marquetry table en chiffonnière, with a pierced gilt brass gallery enclosing an oval crossbanded marquetry top, above three drawers and a kidney shaped tier with writing inspired marquetry, raised on cabriole legs, 80 cm high x 49 cm wide x 36 cm deep. A near identical example illustrated in, C. Payne, 19th century European Furniture, Antique Collector`s Club 1981, p. 246, fig. 757.
A George III mahogany ladies harlequin writing/dressing table, the ice-birch banded and strung divided folding top opening to reveal two lidded compartments, a sprung loaded pigeonholes and small drawer compartments, above a single dummy drawer, which drops to reveal an inset green leather adjustable writing slope and a fitted writing compartment, above a fitted dressing drawer and a concave tambour cupboard, raised on simulated bamboo turned tapering legs terminating in caps and castors, 91 cm high x 66 cm wide x 55 cm deep. The present table is almost identical to designs by Thomas Shearer which was published in The Cabinet-Makers` London Book of Prices, which was distributed by the London Society of Cabinet-Makers in 1788. Thomas Shearer was the main contributor for this publication supplying seventeen plates from twenty design plates. The recognised cabinet maker Thomas Shearer has possibly taken previous designs by Rudd and improved on the design. The present table represent a more elaborate example to similar designs published by Sheraton and Hepplewhite. A closely related example sold at Sotheby`s, 20 October 1972, lot 105. C.G. A first half 20th century walnut extending dining suite by Waring & Gillow, comprising an extending dining table with a shaped and crossbanded top, raised on carved tapering legs united by an x-frame stretcher, stamped Waring & Gillow Ltd 71015, 74 cm high x 239 cm wide x 122 cm deep, together with a serpentine sideboard, including two cellarette drawers and a serving table, one drawer fitted as a cutlery drawer. An early Victorian mahogany and specimen marble occasional table, the square top, radially inlaid within a boarder with specimen marbles including malachite, lapis lazuli, sienna and verde antico, raised on a faceted stem and a quadripartite base with turned feet and recessed castors, 72 cm high x 40 cm wide x 40 cm deep.
