A GEORGE III RECTANGULAR MAHOGANY GENTLEMAN`S DRESSING/WRITING TABLE, the hinged top with a moulded edge and opening to reveal an arrangement of compartments, ink divisions and mirror (lacking glass), square section chamfered legs, two legs possibly of a later date, 91.5cm wide
A VICTORIAN LIBRARY TABLE with quarter veneered burr walnut rectangular top over two frieze drawers, one stamped `C Hindley & Sons, late Miles & Edwards, 34 Oxford Street, London`,. No.42572, raised upon four spiral turned and fluted pillars with scroll feet and central stretcher, 130cm x 66cm
A pair of late 19th century Chinese vases, of square form, allover decorated with figures and character marks, converted to table lamps. Height 15 ins. CONDITION REPORT: The tops and bases to the vases are gilt metal. The vases are extensively cracked and repaired. This should be evident from our images. They have both been broken into several pieces and reglued. There are also hairline cracks. These should be evident from our image however any further information please ask.
An oak canteen of silver plated cutlery, Elkington "Monarchy" pattern", twelve place settings, two drawers, circa 1930. NOTE - Some of the cutlery is still in its original tissue paper and has clearly barely been used. CONDITION REPORT: The oak cabinet is in first class condition with no significant damage, repair or restoration. As stated in the catalogue this is twelve place settings. There are 12 table knives, 12 dessert knives, 12 table forks, 12 dessert forks, a complete carving set, 12 teaspoons, 12 soup spoons, 12 dessert spoons, 6 serving spoons, 2 sauce ladles, large ladle and 12 further tea of coffee spoons. There are one of two apertures in the drawers that have nothing in them but this I believe normal for perhaps serviette rings, etc. Other than being a little dirty the cutlery is in extremely good condition and has clearly seen little if any use.
An Art Deco table lamp, with frosted glass shade panels to metal base with foliate decoration. Height 31 ins. CONDITION REPORT: This lot is in generally reasonable condition. There does not appear to be any significant damage to any of the glass panels. Three of the panels have very small end chips but these are barely significant. Looking underneath the lamp, there are small chips and losses to the edges of the glass panels but all of these are obscured by the metal dividers and are therefore not visible unless looking carefully from underneath. The metal lamp base is very dirty but in good structural order. We do not know if the lamp actually works.
