A pair of brass electric table lamps of 18th Century Continental pricket candlestick form on triangular bases, 20ins high, and shades for same, and an early 20th Century French carriage timepiece in brass and bevelled glass corniche pattern case, 3.75ins wide x 3.25ins deep x 5.25ins high
An early 18th Century ebonised table clock by Joseph Jackman of London Bridge, the 7.5ins arched brass dial with wide silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, the matted dial centre with "mock" pendulum, aperture and date aperture, twin knopped/strike and calendar dial to arch and bold winged cherubs head spandrels to the eight day two train movement with verge escapement striking on a bell, the backplate engraved with bold leaf scroll ornament and maker's name and address, contained in ebonised case with moulded bell shaped top, folding brass handle and four brass pineapple finials, the arched door with front and rear, the front inset with gilt brass infill spandrels and with arched glazed side panels, on bracket feet, 17.5ins high (extensively restored and re-converted to verge escapement by Leslie Brundle, and with quarter repeating work missing - case also extensively restored) Note : Joseph Jackman recorded working London 1708-1716 Provenance: From the Private Collection of Clocks belonging to the late Tony Hill of Cliftonville, Margate, Kent
An early 18th Century ebonised table clock by John Topping of London, the 6ins arched brass dial with wide silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, with large calendar dial, strike/silent dial and regulation dial to arch, the matted dial centre with "Mock" pendulum aperture and winged cherubs head pattern spandrels to the eight day two train movement with verge escapement striking on a bell, the backplate finely engraved with birds, urns of flowers and bold leaf scroll ornament, contained in ebonised case with bold folding brass loop handle above bell shaped top, the side panels inset with twin fretted panels, on bracket feet, 16.5ins high (extensively restored and rebuilt by Leslie Brundle and apparently quarter repeating work missing) Note : John Topping recorded London, Apprentice 1691, Died 1747, described himself as "Memory Master" Provenance: From the Private Collection of Clocks belonging to the late Tony Hill of Cliftonville, Margate, Kent
