Esemplare in barbe, qualche arrossatura, alcune bruniture, gora al margine inferiore di pochi fascicoli dei tomi II e III, tavola 27 nel tomo II staccata. Legatura omogenea coeva rimontata in mezza pelle con punte, carta marrone ai piatti, titoli in oro ai dorsi a 5 nervi. Lievi abrasioni ai dorsi. Edizione originale di questo imponente lavoro di ricerca storica di Vertot, uno dei migliori sull'Ordine dei Cavalieri di Malta anche per la ricchezza della galleria di ritratti. Le carte geografiche sono incise da Delahaye, la pianta della città di Rodi al tomo II è incisa da Berey, mentre le tavole calcografiche dei ritratti sono incise da Jean-François Cars.
