A Chinese carved hongmu folding table, width 83cm depth 56cm height 67cm, and a similar stool/stand, early 20th centuryCONDITION: Provenance - Alfred Theodore Arber-Cooke (c.1910-1993); thence by family descent. Arber-Cooke lived in Carmarthenshire, Wales and was an avid collector of Asian works of art and an author of the History of Llandovery. He was collecting from the 1940s to the 1980s.
An early 19th century pair of Derby biscuit figures of a boy with a cat and a girl with a dog and a Minton figure of a Chelsea pensioner seated at a table, incised marks to base.CONDITION: Seated male figure - chair back glue repaired. Female seated figure - right hand thumb and index finger missing; Discoloured firing crack around her waist, some flowers missing from beneath her knees. Smaller seated male figure approx. half of the table top has been professionally re-attached.
