There are repairs and restoration with signs of glue and filler.The underside of the top with three fixing holes that do not correspond to the base. A LARGE PAIR OF GLASS AND GILT METAL SEVEN-LIGHT TABLE CANDELABRA20TH CENTURYEach with cut and moulded frames around scrolling gilt metal branches and cappings, fitted for electricityeach approximately 78cm high (to top of glass), 51.5cm wideCondition Report: The wiring and electrics of this lot need to be reviewed by a qualified electrician before use.Five of the plastic 'candle' fittings are snapped so that they do not stand upright and some of the glass candle nozzles are loose and need re-fixing.Some of the other glass candle nozzles have been re-fixed with a plaster like compound.Some chips including but not exclusively to the scallop of one candle nozzle, some to the pointed rectangular pendent lustres.The everted section at the top of each baluster column is 'loose' and revolves.The gilt metal branches are matt and dull with some rubbing, some of the branches at slight angles so that there is some variation on the height and angle of the glass lustres.Lacking some lustres.All that said many of these comments on condition are only apparent on close inspection.Please see the additional photographs for a visual reference of condition.Condition Report Disclaimer

A GEORGE II MAHOGANY FOLDING CARD TABLE POSSIBLY IRISH, CIRCA 1750 The hinged and shaped top opening to a baize inset playing surface and counter wells 72cm high, 83cm wide, 41cm deep (when closed)Together with a letter of provenance, the letter probably 19th century in date and titled 'Card table from Flaxley Abbey'.Provenance: Flaxley Abbey, GloucestershireCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old chips and splits. Some small old repairs. Some additional dark marks and ring marks to top. Baize is a later replacement. It has some wear and fraying to edges and has 'bubbled' slightly along the fall line. Some plugged holes visible to front counter wells. Handle is a later addition (it appears to be early 19th century). The table originally would have had a 'blind' drawer (without handle). A later screw has been applied to the side of the drawer to stop it being pulled out fully. Some old vacant screw holes to the underside from where previous supports have been applied to splits in the board of the underside. Later baize has been applied to the top of the hinged rear leg. A GEORGE II MAHOGANY SIDE TABLE CIRCA 174569cm high, 80.5cm wide, 50cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old minor chips and splits. Some additional dark marks to top. Two old but later screws to the interior of the carcass, some small amounts of glue residue visible as well. Some minor evidence of old worm to drawer lining and interior of carcass. Dividers to the interior of the drawer are likely later. Escutcheon is possibly original is of the period. The wooden dowels securing it are likely later. The lock plate has been removed and replaced with a block of timber. Three of the pad feet have had an edge flattened off (see images).
