These reveal a harlequin fitting with pigeon holes over an arrangement of three concave drawers. Below this a writing slide and a toilet drawer with an adjustable mirror, each side of which is fitted a quadrant pivoting writing drawer, the square section tapering legs inlaid to simulate fluting. Width 61cm. Note: it is said that this table once belonged to Queen Mary. It was bought in 1944 from a Red Cross sale to raise funds. The purchasers were told that it had been given by Queen Mary.
