An early 19th century Staffordshire pottery group depicting Dr Syntax playing darts with a male opponent wearing a turquoise jacket, seated in yellow armchairs beneath a bocage accompanied by a small black and white dog, 22cms wide; together with a similar group depicting a young boy with chickens seated beneath a tree, signed Walton to the back, 22cms high (both A/f) (2).Condition ReportThere are at least three breaks to the arch and restorations to the breaks and the underside of the arch. possible restorations to the backs of both chairs, replacement arm to the chap with the black jacket; a glued repair to the neck of the chap in the blue jacket, to one foot and the loss of his right arm. Restorations to the bottom of each table leg and touching up and losses to the contents of the table, minor losses to foliage and glaze, base good condition.The other piece, the figure has been off and re-glued, restored to leg and left arm, tree trunk has been broken and re-glued, various losses to foliate decoration and glaze.
A Chinese sang de boeuf baluster vase converted to a table lamp on a carved hardwood stand, 33cms high excluding fitment but including base.Condition ReportThe vase looks to be 19th century. Good condition with no cracks or chips. The lamp wire has been cut so its untested, may have been reduced in size and has been drilled to the base.
A large 17th century style oak refectory table with four plank top, on trestle supports joined by a stretcher, 302cms long.Condition ReportPlanked surface has split in time and has been infilled in places with wood to disguise the splits, all four legs on later blocks, table top is earlier to the base, planks to top have started to come apart and is probably early 20th century construction and the base probably mid century, some water marks and stains commensurate with age and use, good solid table.

An Art Deco walnut dressing table with two frieze drawers, 90cms wide.Condition ReportThere are some water marks to the polish and some deep scratches to the back. Also there are some very small losses to the veneer. The mirror is a replacement. The table is 41cm deep and 90cm wide. The overall height including the mirror is 110cm, the height to the top is 75cm.
