A unique early 18th Century Irish carved oak Side Table, the later moulded grey marble top over a shaped and profusely carved frieze decorated with eagle heads, scrolls and leaves and centred by a pierced basket of fruit and flowers, the sides also decorated, on four carved legs with paw feet, 99cms (39") wide, 80cms (31 1/2") tall. (1) * A similar example appears in Knight's Book, No. 114, page 232, c. 1740-50 (without oak word).
