A Regency figured and crossbanded mahogany games table, the rounded rectangular, foldover top baise-lined, the sectional apron barrel fronted and with fluted and scroll angle brackets, on a turned pillar and shaped rectangular platform, on four fluted and scrolled splay supports, cast brass paw caps and castors, 90cm x 43.5cm x 72.5cm
An early 20th century gold amethyst and split pearl brooch. The circular-shape amethyst and split pearl surround, to the openwork gallery. Diameter 2.7cms. Weight 12.1gms. Overall condition good. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The amethyst is a dark to mid dark purple with strong saturation showing typical inclusions visible with the naked eye, a fingerprint type inclusion can be seen to the centre of the table. Some small scratches can be seen to the table with the naked eye with some facet edges showing some abrasion. The split pearls are fairly well matched with a white to slightly discoloured silvery grey hue. The lustre is good to fair with some pink overtones. Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source. To include an 18ct gold brilliant-cut diamond single-stone ring, an 18ct gold emerald and diamond half-circle eternity ring, together with a ruby and diamond accent ring. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct. Two with hallmarks for 18ct gold. Total weight 6.8gms. Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The single diamond is bright and lively. A dark inclusion can be seen under the table with the naked eye. The diamonds in the emerald ring are bright, lively and well matched. Profuse light and dark inclusions can be seen with the naked eye. Individual size and setting prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The emeralds have a cloudy light green colour, with typical clarity showing small black inclusions to the naked eye. The ruby is a patchy light pinkish-red, with fairly good clarity showing typical inclusions under magnification. Ruby ring stamped 750. Ring sizes P to J. Weight 5.8gms. The lot is in good overall condition with scratches in keeping with general wear. Wear to the hallmarks. The diamonds appear bright and well matched.
