A William IV rosewood teapoy, with fitted interior. 45 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound. There are no loose joints and no movement when rocked. The top has a near full width stress fracture. This is visible on the top and to the underside. The interior is all present with the exception of the glass bowls. The left hand canted angle has the top edge moulding missing. The polish is a little faded on the corners and edges of the shaped frieze. The turned column is in generally good order. The legs are all in good condition also albeit somewhat dirty.
A large oak refectory style draw leaf dining table, with four turned legs united by end stretchers and centre stretcher. Length closed 183 cm, width 97 cm, each leaf 45 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The height to the underside of the frieze is 61.3 cm. The height to the underside of the table top is 71 cm. The distance between the edge of the table and the side frieze is 9 cm. The table is in generally very good order with no significant condition issues. The top is not stained or marked and the frame is structurally very sound with no movement at the joints. There are some minor blemishes but nothing of any significance.
A Regency mahogany turnover top tea table, with rounded corners and raised on a turned and lobed column and four downswept moulded legs terminating in brass capped brass castors. Width 92 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is in generally very good condition. It is structurally sound. The top is in good condition and not warped. The colour is good. The frieze is in good order all round. The centre column and quatreform base are all in good order also with no loose joints. The brass castors are all present and original. The table could be enjoyed in its current state without the need for any work.
An oak refectory table in the style of Mouseman Thompson of Kilburn, early 20th century, with later rectangular top, with turned supports and sledge feet united by a solid chamfered stretcher. Length 230 cm, width 80 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The tabletop is oak veneered with an oak edge moulding. It is a lighter colour than the base.
A Victorian circular parquetry occasional table, specimen wood with moulded edge, three turned supports and downswept legs terminating in claw feet. Diameter 64 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The tabletop is flat and not warped. It is also in generally good condition with no lifting veneers and no significant losses. The moulded edge is in good condition all round. The table is structurally sound. The legs are in good order. The turned supports are also in good condition. There do not appear to be any repairs or any restoration. There are some minor nibbles around the tops of the legs but no significant issues with this lot.
A Victorian rosewood worktable, with shaped frieze, wooden bag, faceted column and four downswept legs terminating in scroll feet. Width 45.5 cm CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound. The top is flat with no splits. There are some minor surface scratches but the colour is generally good. The crossbanded edge is in good order at the front, the canted angles and the sides but there is a 3 cm loss at the rear. The fretwork apron is in good order all round. The interior is all present and has the original covering to the lift out tray. This is a little dirty and tired. The faceted column is in good order all round. The legs do not appear to have any damage or repairs and are structurally sound. There is no evidence of any woodworm.
An Edwardian inlaid mahogany Art Nouveau wardrobe and dressing table by Shapland & Petter, both inlaid with stylised motifs, wardrobe width including cornice 122 cm, height 210 cm, dressing table width 106.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Both the wardrobe and dressing table are in generally good order. The rear left hand corner of the wardrobe cornice has a small loss. There are minor scuffs to the cornice edges also. The rear spindle gallery is in good condition. The sides of the wardrobe are in good order with no splits. The wardrobe door is not warped and closes as it should. Whilst the handle is present there is no lock. The cupboard door closes as it should, it is not warped, we have the lock and key. The inlaid panel is in good condition. The shelf below and panel back are both in good order. The drawer fronts have some minor nibbles to the edges and on the bearers between. The bottom drawer is a little stiff and has some minor old surface marks but no serious issues. The bevelled mirror is in good order. The dressing table is in generally good condition also. Below the mirror pediment surround on the right hand side there is a looser section of moulding. We have the piece. There are some minor water stains to the shelf above the shallow drawer and also one or two marks to the top dressing table surface. The front edge has some minor marks. Both drawer fronts are in good order. All legs are in good condition with no significant issues. The centre stretcher has been broken in the centre, this has been a clean break which has simply been glued back together. There is a very faint line. All handles are original. None of the doors are warped. Internal wardrobe depth 41.5 cm.
A Regency mahogany bowfronted small sideboard or dressing table, fitted with three drawers and kneehole recess, with large brass drop handles and raised on turned tapered legs. Width 110 cm. CONDITION REPORT: These are not the original handles. When the drawer is viewed from the rear there is evidence of a further single hole. This hole indicates that there may well have been a single knob handle to each drawer. The current handles fully cover all handle holes when viewed from the front.
A George III mahogany side table, with rounded corners and fitted with two frieze drawers with brass drop handles, the turned tapering legs terminating in claw and ball feet. Width 121 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is in original untouched, unrestored condition. It is structurally sound. The top is flat with no splits. There are some very minor stress fractures to the timber and the usual surface marks and scratches and slight losses to the polish. The colour is however generally good. The drawer fronts are in good condition with no missing cockbeading. Again the colour is good. The drawer linings are oak with beaded edges to left and right. The handles would appear to be original. If not they do go through the original handle holes. The legs are all structurally sound and do not appear to have had any breaks or repairs.
An Edwardian satinwood octagonal occasional table, with two open shelves with low gallery and raised on eight tapered legs of square section terminating in castors. Width 58 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This table is in generally extremely good original condition. The top is of good colour and there are no splits. The pillar supports between the top and the first tier are in generally very good order. One has an external corner nibble and another an internal nibble. The middle tier is in generally good condition. There is one small 3 cm section of ebony stringing missing. The fretwork arches beneath the middle tier are all present. There are some minor fractures across the narrow parts of these arches but no missing sections. The fillers beneath are in generally good order. One has been broken beneath the rectangular block and re-glued. All others are in good order. The spindled gallery beneath is in good order all round. The lower shelf is in good condition. All legs are present with no breaks. Seven of the castors are original. One is later but does retain the original top mount.
A Victorian mahogany tripod table, with dished top, twist turned column and three downswept legs terminating in scroll feet. Diameter 52.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is in generally good order. The top is flat with no splits and a good original colour. The twist column is in good order. All legs are in good condition with no issues. There are several stress cracks to the boss into which the legs fit but there is no movement and no issues at that point. The table is structurally very sound.
A George III mahogany side table, fitted with a single drawer with brass drop handles and raised on moulded legs of square section. Width 86.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The side table is structurally sound. The top is of a good colour but has the usual old minor scuffs and stains as one would expect. The drawer runs smoothly. The handles are replacements, they basically go through the original handle holes. The shadow of a similar but larger shaped backplate is evident. The chamfered legs are all in good order with no breaks and there are no loose joints. Height 76 cm, depth 38 cm, width actually 86 cm not 86.5 cm. Height to underside edge of front 53.8 cm.
A Victorian walnut centre table, of shaped outline with foliate carved frieze and raised on cabriole legs with scroll supports beneath. Length 144 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound. The top is in generally good order with no significant issues. There are one or two scratches and the odd surface mark but no major problems. There is one scuff which maybe a little problematic as it has taken the top surface of the polish off. This is +/- 0.75 cm wide and +/- 7 cm in length. The moulded edge is in good condition all round. The frieze carvings are all intact. There are no issues with any of the legs or stretchers or centre urn and cover. There is no evidence of any woodworm.
A French style bureau plat, with tooled leather writing surface and fitted with three frieze drawers, with crossbanding and raised on cabriole legs terminating in sabot feet. (540) CONDITION REPORT: Height to underside edge of drawer 60 cm. Height from floor to top surface 81.5 cm. Width at widest point across legs 160 cm. Width across front 152 cm. Depth +/- 75 cm. The table is in first class condition with no issues. It is a reproduction piece and of no significant age but also with no significant problems either. The pieces could be used in its current state.
