WWII an extremely rare full colour poster issued in the very early days of the Nazi regime in Germany featuring an ayrian man (with all the attributes fair hair clean cut looks etc) standing sternly above a group of degenerate looking people talking around a table smoking and drinking. The towering ayrian figure wears the Swastika armband and his rolling up his sleeves. The message is Arbeiten ! Nicht schwatzen [Work ! Not Chatter]. Approx 48x32 ins. An interesting aspect of this poster is that there is no obvious Jewish figure in the ‘degenerate’ group but two of the group are clearly made to look French (they both wear berets). On the table is a table flag with the word ‘Concordia’- so it would seem that the message is directed towards Germans who might wish to continue dialogue with the French to achieve good Franco-German relations. The poster is in remarkable fine condition considering its age and the events which subsequently followed its publication.
