Richard Harris had presents for all of us and he gave me a very handsome cigar box in red leather. I thanked him and I said, "I will keep this always on my coffee-table and every time I look at it, I will think of you". It is there to this day and contains nothing but his card, "For Douglas, with many, many thanks, Richard". I appreciated the thought, but what he was thanking me for, I don't know: certainly not my golden opinions.'.Provenance: From the Estate of Douglas Wilmer (1920-2016) star of stage and screen, best known for his definitive 1960s B.B.C. portrayal of Sherlock Holmes
