A Victorian rosewood octagonal worktable, with faceted column and raised on three cabriole legs. Width 40 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are two sections of the rosewood edge moulding that are detached. We have both sections. There is one small veneer loss to the top approximately 1 cm square. The interior is in good order. The polish is a little dry on the faceted column and the table is loose below the middle knop and requires tightening. The legs are in good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration.
A Mappin & Webb oak cased canteen of cutlery, twelve place settings, one table fork missing, and meat and game carvers. CONDITION REPORT: All items are very dirty. The dessert forks are in generally good condition. The table forks are showing more signs of wear particularly to the plating at the very ends of the back of the tines. The dessert spoons are similarly showing wear on the backs of the rat's tails and at the ends of the bowls. The same comments apply to the tablespoons. The tea spoons are in poor condition having lost much of the plating. The ladles are in good order. All of the knife blades are in good condition. The knife handles are all yellowed, discoloured and have lost their original surface finish.
