A Regency mahogany sofa table, fitted with two frieze drawers and raised on a turned centre column with four downswept legs terminating in brass capped castors. Width closed 91 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Height 72.5 cm, Width with flaps down 91 cm, each flap drop 28.5 cm, depth 62 cm. The table is structurally sound and in generally good order. The top has old scuffs, scratches and watermarks and one very small old rectangular patch to the rear right hand corner. The drawers are in generally good condition with one minor cockbead repair to the left hand drawer which has been done professionally and a small veneer repair to the bottom right hand corner of the left drawer support. The centre column and legs are all in good order with no issues. The castors are very dirty and have lost their original lacquer but are original and sound. The table does not really require any repair or restoration but could do with a light clean.
A William IV rosewood chess topped table, circular, with satin walnut banded edge, raised on a faceted column with triform base and paw feet. Diameter 56 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This table is in generally good order. The top is in good condition and requires no repairs and no restoration. The column is in good order and the table is structurally sound. The triform base has only very minor scuffs and marks commensurate with the age of the piece. The feet are all original and in good order. The table could be used or resold in its present condition without the need for any repair or restoration. The top is not warped. We can see no evidence of any significant damage or restoration.
A Regency brass inlaid rosewood tilt top breakfast table, raised on a triform base with paw feet and castors. Diameter 121 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table top is in four sections. None of the joins are open. The table top is of good colour and in very good order. It is slightly warped but not to the point where it is problematic. The top snaps shut as it should but the two threaded bolts are not the correct size and there is a small amount of movement as a result of this. The centre column, triform base and feet are all in good order as is the frieze. There are no significant losses anywhere on the piece.
A cherrywood side table, with crossbanded edge, two frieze drawers with brass drop handles, turned supports and low stretcher. Width 122 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Generally in very good condition. There is a small scuff to the front moulded edge which requires a very small amount of polish. Other than this the piece could be used or resold in its current condition.
A Regency rosewood writing table, in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster, with two frieze drawers and two opposing dummy drawers and raised on short lobed feet with castors. Width 102 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Generally very good condition. The top is flat and in very good condition. All of the crossbanding to the edge is in good order. The drawers are in good condition with their original handles. The end supports are in good order as are the stretcher and lobed feet. The piece is structurally sound and there is no evidence of any woodworm.
An Edwardian rosewood twin drop flap side table, of butterfly wing design, with single frieze drawer, low shelf and raised on castors. Width open 90 cm, closed 45 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is in generally good original condition. The top is generally flat and the leaves only very slightly but not significantly warped. The marquetry is flat and intact and there is only one very small loss of about 1 cm to one section of boxwood stringing. There is a small timber chip to the inside top edge of one flap which would benefit from staining as it is currently visible with the flaps down. The drawer operates as it should and is in good condition. The four legs are in good order as is the shelf. The left hand gallery has six up right spindles missing. The castors are original.
A Victorian oval walnut centre table, well figured, with carved supports, centre stretcher and four downswept legs terminating in castors. Width 120 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This table is in extremely good order. It could be used or resold in its current condition without the need for any repairs or restoration. It is structurally sound. The centre stretcher, end supports and legs are all in good condition. The piece has clearly been professionally restored at some point within the last 10 years or so. There has been a break to one of the cabriole legs but this has been professionally repaired and is not an issue. All castors are original.
A Victorian mahogany extending dining table, with three leaves, circular when closed and with moulded edge. Diameter 126 cm, length extended 274 cm. CONDITION REPORT: When closed this forms a circular breakfast table. It is structurally very solid and good timber. The table requires tidying up from the point of view of polish but there are no significant issues with damage to the top or centre column. The quatreform base has numerous old stress fractures to the veneers and one or two minor veneer losses but is structurally very sound. The castors are original. The three leaves are in generally good condition but of a slightly different colour to the main top of the table. The diameter when closed is 126 cm. The piece is structurally very solid.
An Edwardian inlaid mahogany square occasional table, in the Sheraton style, with slide and raised on tapered legs of square section united by fretwork stretchers. Width 29 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This table is in generally very good order and does not require any repairs or restoration. There is a very old stress fracture across the top at the rear but in our opinion this is insignificant.
