Strahan, 1784.⁂ First edition of the official account of Cook's third and final voyage. The third volume was written by Capt. James King. Without the accompanying folio atlas.

Mathematics & Navigation.- Gunter (Edmund) The description and vse of the sector, crosse-staffe, and other instruments:...and the vse thereof in astronomie, navigation, dialling, and fortification, &c., 4 parts in 1 vol., second edition, engraved additional pictorial title and frontispiece, woodcut diagram to printed title, 2 woodcut plates, 2 printed slips ('The Scale of Chords and Rumba' and 'A Table for the use of the Chaine'), numerous woodcut diagrams and illustrations in text, without blank 2L2, the odd instance of later pencil marginalia, additional title with small ink stain and crease, occasional spotting or light staining, lightly browned, contemporary blind-ruled calf, sympathetically rebacked, spine in compartments and with red morocco label, rubbed, [Tomash & Williams G102; STC 12523], small 4to, Printed by William Iones, for Iames Bowler, and are to be sold at the Marigold in Pauls Church-yard, 1636.⁂ A solid copy of this considerably expanded second edition, which is rarely found complete (our copy lacking only a blank). Includes a chapter on the mathematics of fortification not published before. It 'must rank with Eden's translation of Cortes's Arte de Navegar and Wright's Certaine Errors as one of the three most important English books ever published for the improvement of navigation... [Gunter] opened up... an entirely new field, that of arithmetical navigation' (Waters, Art of Navigation, p. 359).

Malory (Sir Thomas) Le Morte Darthur: The Book of King Arthur and of his Noble Knights of the Round Table, 4 vol., number 298 of 500 copies on Riccardi Paper, titles in blue and black, tipped-in colour plates after watercolours by Sir William Russell Flint, captioned tissue-guards, previous owner's pencil signature to front free endpaper (vol. 1), t.e.g., original limp vellum with ties, light discoloration, to spines, housed in contemporary blue slipcases, rubbed, 4to, Philip Lee Warner for the Medici Society Ltd, 1910-11.⁂ A good set in the preferred vellum binding (originally £12.12s as opposed to £10.10s. for the set in boards).

A Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen PH 3/2 chrome table lamp with three opaque glass shades. Height 45.5cm.Condition report: The lamp was purchased new from Louis Poulsen in 2002.The shades are free from damage. There is some tarnish to the metal stem and more noticeable tarnish to the metal parts under the shade.
A painted spelter table lighter, modelled as a cock pheasant beside a tree stump on a naturalistic rectangular base, width 31cm.Condition report: The lighter section is missing parts so not currently working. It has been repainted. No baize to base. The pheasant is in good condition with no damage.
An oak refectory table, with a carved frieze on turned legs, joined by a 'H' stretcher, height 76cm, length 193.5cm, width 84cm,Condition report: Good, solid condition. A few cracks in the oak as would be expected. No signs of worm or old repairs. Further photos now on DL website.
A George III style mahogany side table, with two frieze drawers on shell carved cabriole legs with pad feet, height 73cm, width 97cm, depth 46cm. ,Condition report: This side table is in solid condition. There are some scratches to the top and some staining (please see photos). There are three holes that have been filled in. This could indicate that there was once a gallery or something similar. The joints are all solid and there is no worm.
An early Victorian mahogany extending dining table, the rectangular moulded top on turned and fluted tapering legs, height 73cm, length 142cm, width 102cm.Condition report: General wear, small chips, staining and scratches, minor age crack. A French Louis XV style rosewood inlaid display table, late 19th century, the glazed hinged top with marquetry inlaid foliage surround, ormolu mounts, on cabriole legs, height 74cm, width 60cm, depth 40cm.Condition report: Very good condition. The images show minor damage and some areas of good restoration
A French Art Deco macassar and bone inlaid side table, possibly after Emile Jacques Ruhlmann, with a single concealed frieze drawer on turned and fluted tapering legs, height 76cm, width 92cm, depth 49cm.Condition report: Damage to varnish on top general signs of wear throughout beautifully porportioned and very stylish. A French elm farmhouse kitchen table, 19th century, with four plank top, one side fitted with two frieze drawers, on square tapering legs, height 74cm, width 300cm, depth 88cm.Condition report: The table is extremely sound. Some historic woodworm but no major concerns. Height to skirt 58.5cm.Lovely patina to top. Naturally aged. Legs do not appear to have been tampered with. Distance between legs 271cm, the table doesn't wobble.
A Victorian pine kitchen table, fitted an end drawer, with turned knob and on turned legs, height 73cm, width 127cm, depth 82cm.Condition report: Height to rail: 60cm. Although scruffy, the table is solid. No obvious signs of worm. Joints good and sturdy. Drawer opens easily. The frieze and legs would benefit from being tidied up.
An Edwardian inlaid rosewood drop leaf table, with a single frieze drawer and square tapering legs, joined by a pierced galliered undertier, height 71cm, width 61cm, depth 40cm.Condition report: Small losses to inlay, areas of veneer begining to lift on table top, two approximately 9cm strips of veneer repair to table top.
