A SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND CLUSTER RING CIRCA 1970 The sapphire and diamond target cluster set above a pierced tapering abstract shank, approximately 1.08 carats, stamped 18Ct Size/dimensions: finger size O 1/2 Gross weight: 7.5 grams Condition Report: The diamonds are all present and correct, bright and lively, colour mostly H-I, clarity mostly I, the sapphires well matched, some nibbles to crowns, one sapphire has a large chip to one side of the table, but only noticeable under close inspection, one of the claws holding a sapphire is missing- this could be from construction as the edge looks fairly smooth, the stone is still secure. A 19th Century oak occasional table, the circular single piece top on a turned pedestal to cabriole tripod base, 43 cm wide x 69 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Has signs of old worm. The base has been crudely mounted to the top and has had some alterations. Part of the base is splitting. The tripod stand has been repaired both to the top turning and also pieces are missing and to the tripod base which has a significant agricultural repair. The top has been cut down in size. Has been varnished and the varnish is degrading, yellowing and whitening in places. There is a crack to the natural knot design to the top.
