A 19th century silver table snuff box having the crowned cypher of Napoleon to the lid and oval portrait miniatures within laurel leaves of Napoleon and Josephine. The lid further decorated with semi-precious stones. Imported to England by SB & Co Ltd in 1899, Continental hallmarks to base, 9cm wide

The Alphabet-Cipher, [1868], cardstock printed on recto (Table of Letters) and verso (Explanation), 182 x 125 mm, slight marginal soiling Williams, Madan, Green and Crutch 63. Rare. "The table is a square alphabet, the top line across being a-z, the next b-z, a, the third c-z, a, b; and so on. Two friends agree on a key-word, write it letter for letter over the letters of the message to be sent, and dispatch the letters suggested by the two lines and the table." (1)

An Edwardian dolls' piano, Continental, wooden piano with xylophone action, faux rosewood finish, turned supports, gilt metal furniture, including candle sconces and carrying handles, ivorine keys warped and mostly not working, 30.5 x 63 x 29cm (12 x 24.75 x 11.5ins), together with a French 1950s black doll with sleeping eyes, wearing a white lace dress, and shoes stamped 'Raynal', accompanied by a small suitcase of clothes (six garments, some hand-made) and some miniature coated wire hangers, plus a boxed toy dressing table set, with china pots and other accoutrements (some items missing), labelled 'Toilette' on lid, plus a dolls' wooden dresser and wardrobe, and metal bed, French, circa 1890s, plus a quantity of miniature kitchenalia & tableware Sold with all faults, not subject to return.
