Pair of Maurizio Tempestini (Italian, 1908-1960) mid-century modern alabaster table lamps. Carefully carved with a twisted form. With glass finials and ebonized wood bases.(Each) Alabaster; Height: 14 in x width: 7 in x depth: 4 in. Total height of lamps: 30 in.Condition: The items are in good condition with no visible cracks, or major dents, or losses. Wear throughout. Oxidation to metal components as expected. No visible chips or cracks to the glass balls on top. Light discoloration and natural lines throughout to the white body, particularly towards the base; along the carved areas, there are minute chips that do not significantly alter the overall appearance. Both lamps have a drill hole near the base, as shown in the listing image. Wear to the underside, consistent with age and use. When inspected under UV light, there is no visible sign of restoration.
John Callcott Horsley RA (English, 1817-1903). Oil on canvas painting titled "The New Dress" (1864) depicting an interior scene with a young girl showing off her brand new dress to an older, seated woman. A dog peaks out from under the table and a cat sleeps peacefully on a cushion nearby. In the background through an open doorway, a mule can be seen being led away by a young man. Aldo Tura, Italy. Lacquered goatskin and brass bar cart in the form of a pipe, ca. 1950s-60s. Two tiers with an ice box with in the 'pipe' with a hinged lid. Retains the original label along the underside. Often referenced with Italian maverick designers such as Piero Fornasetti and Carlo Bugatti, Aldo Tura focused on creating his designs using specific materials rather than abundant figurative decorations.Height: 28 in x width: 37 in x depth: 15 1/2 in.Condition: The cart is in fair condition. All components are present and the cart rolls smoothly. The lid opens smoothly and without resistance. The leg with a caster on it has been repaired and adhesive is visible where the leg joins with the bottom of the table. Wear and scratches throughout consistent with age and use. Some small chips to the lacquer. There is a ring-shaped water mark along the bottom tier. Wear to the wheels. Some wear and oxidation to the metal components of the cart.
Karl Springer (German, 1931-1991). Brass and glass coffee table. With four sculptural brass legs. The square glass with rounded corners and held in place with four brass plates. With four brass screw plates holding the glass in place. Manufactured in the United States in the 1980s. Signed along one of the legs.Literature: Tom Langevin, "Karl Springer Ltd. Catalog, 1977-1994," pg. 1. (A similar, rectangular table can be seen in this reference).Height: 18 in x width: 44 in x depth: 44 in.Condition: The table is in fair condition. All parts are present and, when assembled, the table is structurally sound. There are several small chips to the glass: one along the edge, one near one edge (visible in the lot listing), and all holes through the glass have chips and wear which are hidden when the brass circular screw is placed over them. Wear to the brass legs including scratches, some small spots of discoloration, and light oxidation. Wear and scratches along the underside as expected with display and use.

There are a few scratches, minor splits to the veneer, and ring-shaped areas of water exposure to the top of the table. Wear to the metal caps along the feet, consistent with display and use.

When inspected under UV light, there is no visible sign of restoration. To the upper left quadrant, there is a scratch measuring approximately 1 3/4 in. From the verso, the canvas is toned. Pair of Italian Murano glass table lamps, attributed to Leucos. Each with white conical form glass lampshades and metal bases.(Each) Height: 25 in x diameter: 20 1/4 in.Condition: Both lamps are in fairly good condition. All components are present and the lamp turns on when plugged in; note that the lamp has not been tested for prolonged use. There are no major cracks, losses, or chips. There are small production flaws throughout such as bubbles and one small protrusion of the glass along the interior of one shade.
