A George III satinwood bowfront dressing table in the manner of John Cobb, circa 1770, serpentine top with rounded front corners, serpentine sides, crossbanding, boxwood and ebony stringing, containing a central drawer over a kneehole decorated with marquetry drapes and flowers and two hinged rear compartments to top, ivory knob handles to drawer, flanked on each side by a small drawer and a deep drawer with floral marquetry, on cabriole legs, 80cm high, 99cm wide, 55cm deep. The form of this dressing table bears relation to those in the French taste seen in Thomas Chippendale’s Gentleman and Cabinet Maker’s Director, third edition, pl. 72. *A mahogany library/ hunt table, stamped Gillows, the hinged top opening to a tooled red leather inset, on a base inscribed to base ‘Made by Thomas Stansmore for W.Royce cabinet maker 11 High Street, Stamford, March 4th 1892 for Stamford and Spalding Bank, and ‘GILLOWS R715’, on heavily carved tapering reeded legs, 81cm high, 106.5cm deep, approximately 243cm wide. The numbers adjacent to the Gillows stamp do not appear to correspond with any related designs for Hunt tables by Gillows, therefore it is likely that these numbers relate to a previous owner’s inventory. The Stamford, Spalding and Boston Banking Company Limited was in operation from 1831 - 1911.

A pair of Meissen style porcelain figures of the Senses, late 19th Century, modelled after Schonheit, the first allegorical of sound with a lady seated at a harpsichord, the second touch with a lady seated at a table surmounted by a bird in a cage, crossed swords in underglaze blue to bases with various incised marks, height of touch approx 14cm (faults to sound).
A `Vienna` porcelain dressing table set, early 20th Century, printed with classical figure scenes after Kaufmann within cream, green and red gilt overlaid panelled framing, comprising a tray, two perfume bottles and stoppers, a large and two small jars and covers, a ring tree, a small oval pin tray and a pair of candlesticks, blue printed shield mark to bases (some faults and repairs).
