A 19th century silver plated table centrepiece, with moulded glass top set with a fruiting vine border, on naturalistic base, height 23cm, (the rim detached from the glass) with a sardine dish and cover, a biscuit barrel and hinged cover, a part cruet, a plate mounted biscuit barrel and cover and a Locke & Co Worcester salad bowl and pair of servers (8).PROVENANCE: The Raymond Rush Collection. Mr Rush was an engineer, farmer and lay preacher who lived at Golden Cross Farm in Siddington, Cheshire. He was also a historian, broadcaster, author and speaker who regularly gave talks on local history, agricultural history and historic curios. In addition, he was also an accomplished maker of corn dollies.Additional InformationWear to the plate on all items. Rubbing to the surface painting and gilding on the ceramic items. One of the cruets lacking a stopper. All glass items in the cruet with some nicks to the glass.

There are light surface scratches to the enamel throughout, but no damages. The comb has lost some of its prongs, light surface scratches to the other pieces. Tarnishing to the glass and silver mounted jar, but this is complete with stopper.

Silver rubbed to all items and with some small holes in the detailing. The edges and both silver topped toilet jars with knocks and rubbing. Glass with a few small surface nicks. The circular jar with heavier wear and rubbing, the edge heavily dented and with a small split.
