A good George III mahogany Pembroke table, the well figured top with shaped dropflaps and satinwood and tulipwood cross banding, over a single end drawer and opposing faux drawer with octagonal handles and oak linings, raised on square tapered boxwood strung legs headed by satinwood ovals, fitted with brass cap casters, 31 x 19¼in. (78.75 x 49cm.), 27½in. (70cm.) high.
A fine 19th century Chinese export Canton carved ivory table casket, the exterior profusely carved in deep relief with figures engaged in both work and leisurely pursuits, some on horseback and some in boats, amidst landscapes with pagodas and other buildings and trees including prunus, palm, fir and weeping willow, the borders carved with foliage, flowers, fruit and birds, the hinged lid opening to reveal and interior with single tray with hinged whitemetal handles, lacks divisions, the exterior sides with whitemetal floral and foliate cast swing handles, raised on four hairy paw feet, 9½ x 5¾in. (24 x 14.5cm.), 4in. (10cm.) high. * Condition: Interior tray lacks dividers. Traces of old glue along one side of tray from old repair. Three feet glued in place (later - originally secured with ivory pins) and the fourth foot (at the rear left corner) is a little loose and has a chip at one end. The carved exterior appears to be free from any damage whatsoever - no chips or cracks. Good condition overall, with a nice colour and patina to the ivory.

(20.25cm.) long, weight 35g. * Condition: Maker's mark clear. Small ding (evidence of earlier crease, since repaired?) to sides of bowl at widest part. Some small dings and signs of polishing to centre of bowl. A few small nicks to edge of terminal.

Contents appear to have very little use - in excellent condition. Canteen good, with just a few small scratches and tiny nicks to edges. Complete with key.

(45.75cm.) high, 21in. (53.5cm.) diameter. (2)* Condition: - MOP inlaid table: Several cracks to marble and a few chipped areas where cracks cross. Two minor losses to MOP inlay to top border. Approx. 11 MOP petals missing from flowers and centre of most flowers missing. Two losses from large MOP lappets at top of frieze. Joints of stretcher loose. Chip to end of one stretcher at joint with leg.- Second table: Pale circular water stain from a vase or jardiniere to marble top. Small filled chip to edge of marble and small chip to wood at border of marble. Dark spirit stain to edge of top. Small split to one section of pierced frieze. Top very loose - several joints need gluing.
