A late 17th century style walnut table, the top inlaid with oyster cut veneers, on turned legs joined by a shaped X stretcher, 121 cm wide See illustration Condition report Report by GHVeneer lifting to top in several places with small areas of loss. Veneer generally cracked all over and edge moulding lifting in some places. Legs and stretchers generally quite firm and with usual age related wear, scratches and small dents. No obvious major repairs or damages. Probably early 20th century.
An oval mahogany occasional table, with re-entrant corners, the top inlaid with a central panel with Poseidon, within a band of face masks, mythical beasts and scrolling acanthus leaves, having a frieze drawer, on tapering square legs carved bell flowers, joined by an undertier, and with spade feet, 85 cm wide See illustration Condition report ReportSome veneer lifting, a few small sections missing, some strengthening, requiring restorationReport by RBIn a market fresh state, rather than being treasured and highly polished.The top does not feel at all warped, and does not have any major splits. There is a small area of inlay to the acanthus leaf lifting, just beneath the shell and above the face mask, with some small areas of inlay missing.Oak lined drawers, with pretty handles decorated flowers, and the frieze has some old repairs to the veneer, has some small areas of veneer missing, and is generally cracked and split.The chairs do not quite match the top in colour or in quality, and they appear to have had quite a harsh life with knocks, wear and tear, with the back right hand leg having an old repair/split, the underside of the carcass (top) has old worm holes, and the platform under tier doesn't match in colour and is probably an association.Overall once a cracking table, the top has thick varnish on it, which is badly rubbed and scraped, there is some loss to the veneer and inlay, and generally requires repair and restoration.

The shield shaped mirror has a few small areas of veneer missing, to the top left hand corner. One section is detached from the gallery to above the trinket drawers, the other is missing, a bottom left hand drawer handle is missing.The washstand: Some water staining. Overall in a market fresh condition, with general wear, no keys.

Item is modern, not period. Veneered.
