A Danish rosewood and chrome Model 901 desk, designed by Bodil Kjaer in 1959 for E Pedersen & Son, 200cm wide 100cm deep 72cm high This desk is one of the most desirable pieces of mid century furniture and was designed in 1959. Bodil Kjaer was born in 1932 and has spent her career working in Denmark, Great Britain and in the USA. The Model 901 received huge amounts of publicity after being used in two James Bond films, 'From Russia with Love' and 'You Only Live Twice'. CONDITION REPORT: Lock mechanism has been removed. Plug to the right side has been added to cover the hole where the mechanism has been. Some areas of veneer damage and minor losses to the corners and edges of the table.
