A George I joined oak table, the boarded top with a moulded drawer, on ring turned tapering legs and block feet united by stretchers, 71cm h; 83 x 62cm . The top warped and nailed but in otherwise good and original condition. Small replacement moulding to the drawer and later brass handle
A Lenci earthenware figure of Al Caffe modelled by Helen Konig Scavini, the elegant young woman in long black gloves seated at a circular table with an open book, in colours, 22cm h, painted mark, date 16-3-33-XI and painter's mark of, possibly,. . Ponte, 1933. One or two minor repairs as follows: one of the two forked plumes on the hat broken at the tip and glued; forefinger and middle finger cleanly broken off and glued back; a small graze to the tip of the forefinger; the open half of the book cleanly broken diagonally and glued back. No other damage nor is there any "professional' restoration

The work is a reissue of the plates from Samuel Bing'sArtistic Japan.

Including an account of the South Australian Company with details of emigrants, wages, provisions etc. The advertisements at end are directed at those emigrating and feature tools, clothing, tents, maps, domestic goods and even houses, with a plan and elevation.
