WALSALL / ARDWICK Official matchcard for Walsall Town Swifts v Ardwick, 17/9/1892, Division 2, This was the first season in the Football League for Ardwick and in fact this was only their fourth game as a League Club. Ardwick won 4-2 to complete their fourth successive victory as a League Club. The loss of eight out of the last ten games ensured a mid-table finish whilst Walsall Town Swifts finished bottom of the Division but continued for a couple more seasons before being replaced by Loughborough in season 1895-96.
