A Victorian mahogany library table, of oblong form with inset top and two long and one short frieze drawers, two with fitted compartments, on turned and tapering legs with brass and ceramic casters, 136 cm wide, 75 cm high, 91 cm deep. By family repute and descent this table formerly belonged to Chief Inspector Donald Swanson, who was one of the detectives renowned for working on the Jack the Ripper case in London. He died in 1924.
