Waggett , a collection of WW II Commando militaria formerly belonging to Major Kenyon Waggett Middlesex Regiment, 12 and 5 Commando to include a a 1st pattern Fairbairn-Sykes commando fighting knife, the 16.6cm steel double edged blade marked to the forte The F-S Fighting Knife with Wilkinson Sword Co Ltd London to the opposing side, having a shaped cross guard and typical diamond chequered grip, housed in the original brown leather and brass mounted sheath, 30cm, together with a 2nd pattern Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife, having an unmarked blade with straight cross guard and lacking sheath, a military kukri, the blade of typical curved form stamped HW? 45, having a two piece riveted grip and housed in a leather sheath with War department mark and dated 1945, 43cm, a photograph of Capt Waggett with Lord Louis Mountbatten at Ta Ku Ling Frontier Outpost on the Chinese Border, a Special Forces cloth formation sign, an Eastern silver table cigarette box with presentation inscription " To Major "Ken" Waggett from the Officer's of 1/5 Commando 1942-1946" and various ephemera to include Commando Service certificate etc. Also included in the lot are a WW I miniature 1914 Mons Star with clasp, British War and Victory medals, a pair of WW I binoculars in a brown leather case and a leather ammunition pouch, these items were given to Ken by his late father.
A 19th Century Double Action Six Shot Pinfire Revolver, the 15.5cm round steel barrel with Birmingham proof marks, with numbered cylinder, hinged loading gate and wood grip scales (af); a Non-working Copy of a Flintlock Pistol, with brass furniture; a Non-working Copy of a Brass Table Top Signal Cannon, on a wood carriage with rammer (3) . 1 - Action works, but is very stiff. Metalwork is pitted and the grip scales are split, with a rough finish. 2 - Actoiun does not work. Brass furniture is lifting from wood stock. 3 - Barrel has a number of small dings to the top.
Auschwitz Concentration Camp Orchestra Interest - a Collection of Sixty Two Black and White Snapshot Photographs of the Kubu Orchestra, the members of which were Cuban Jewish inmates. The photographs show them performing on stage and also show interior scenes, three of the smaller examples have the Auschwitz rubber stamp to the reverse, three have pencil captions which translate as ''Table set for our Jewish friends in the Kubu Band'', ''Kubu in Auschwitz'' and ''Lanky Jakob, my Favourite Jew'', mainly printed on war time Agfa postcard paper. The images are not distressing.
