An Edwardian large silver dressing table mirror, by William Comyns & Sons, London 1908, retailed by Asprey, of rectangular form with arched pediment, with bands of engine turned decoration, with easel back, 56cm high 38cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Two relatively deep scratches in bottom right hand corner. Material to reverse is torn, stained and faded.
A late Victorian two row ruby and diamond closed crescent brooch, an outer row of graduated oval Swiss cut rubies, claw set to cut down collets with a scalloped gallery, to an interior row of graduated eight cut diamonds, grain set in silver. A brooch fitting and vacant fitting for a forchere CONDITION REPORT: Tested as silver and 9ct gold. 27mm diameter. Slight table facet edge wear to some of the central rubies, only visible under 10x magnification, but no damage to the stones. Good colour, tone and saturation to the rubies. Some tarnish. A forchere is a forked hair fitting.
A single stone diamond ring, set with a cushion cut diamond of approximately 1.49ct, the diamond eight claw set to a coronet collet, with chenier shoulders to a plain shank. Marked PLAT. Diamond assessed as approximately: Colour: L/M Clarity: P1-P2 Finger size O CONDITION REPORT: Claws all in very good condition. Light surface wear only. Dirty. No cloudiness or surface reaching inclusions. A few scattered carbon inclusions under the table and crown facets. Two very small indented naturals on the girdle (corner of the cushion). Bright lively stone. Claws secure, shank in wearable condition.
An 18ct gold single stone diamond ring, a brilliant cut diamond, with an estimated weight of approximately 2.15ct, ten claw set to a white rex collet, with yellow chenier shoulders and plain shank. Diamond assessed as approximately: Colour: M/N Clarity: P2/P3 Finger size N½ CONDITION REPORT: Claws deep and secure, although not well finished. Heavy weight shank with only light surface wear. Hallmark: Birmingham, no date letter. No surface reaching inclusions to the table, a couple to the star and kyte facets. Inclusions affecting the brilliance but not cloudy.
A peridot and diamond oval cluster ring, with a rectangular cushion shaped Brazilian cut peridot, four claw set to a border of eight cut diamonds, each diamond four claw set to a tubular collet with pierced detail forming the basket, to a reeded shank. Marked 750. Finger size O½ CONDITION REPORT: Peridot: 17.6 x 13.2 x 9.09mm approximately. Substantial table and crown facet edge wear to the peridot. The stone requires re-polishing. All claws intact, although the outer claws on some of the diamonds are a little thin. Sizing join to the back of the shank. Surface wear commensurate with age.
