A Regency period kingwood and laburnum Architects Table, the crossbanded and segmented top with gallery rail, the pull out front opening to reveal a sunken compartment with inset drawers and sliding shelf on square legs with brass handles, approx. 92cms w x 87cms h x 67cms d (36" x 34" x 26"). (1)
Attributed to Adriaen Van de Venne, 1589 - 1662, Dutch"Woman by a table in kitchen, wearing blue and red gown and small white ruff," O.O.Panel 74cms x 60cms (29" x 23 1/2"). There is an inscription on top rt. hd. corner, which translates roughly as 'This pan is not for scouring.' There is an inscribed label on reverse, and other indistinct writing, also a wax seal stamped 'J.B.', in a contemporary ebonised frame with forged iron hook. (1)Provenance: Purchased by Coughlan Briscoe, Dealer, London for Judge James Murnaghan, c. 1930.

A fine quality Irish 19th Century mahogany Side Table, the moulded Connemara marble top over a plain frieze with an intricately and delicately carved apron the central panel carved with grapes in relief flanked either side by floral drapes with Adams love knot, and similarly decorated sides, on four carved legs, the knee with acanthus leaf decoration, and terminating in carved lion paw feet, approx. 183cms (73")w, 82cms (32")h, 81cms (32")d. "The Two Kings Table"A mahogany Side Table, basically Regency, with elements of earlier remnants, the plain top over a beaded and dentil moulded frieze on front carved square legs terminating in reeded tapering feet, approx. 168cms x 80cms x 98cms (66" x 31 1/2" x 38 1/2"). (1)Provenance: According to family folklore Col. Edward Stratford hosted King James before the Battle of the Boyne & King William afterwards. They were reputed to have slept in the same bed at each visit, the remnants of this bed was rescued from the fire at Straford Lodge in 1856, thus subsequently incorporated into this piece of furniture.
