Attributed to Harry and Lou Epstein, an Art Deco walnut dining suite including a twin-pedestal table, a sideboard and six 'Cloud' chairs CONDITION REPORT: Table: Structurally sound. Veneers with fading throughout but esp. to top surface. Veneer with cracklelure throughout and 'bubbling'/lifting in places along with some small losses to edges. Table height: 78.5 cm inc. glass top. width: 95.5 cm, length: 186.5 cm. Sideboard: Structurally sound but one door currently detached but present. Surface scratches and cracklelure to veneer. Scratches esp. noticeable to curved edges. Handles with wear and slight 'yellowing'. Chairs: One chair with repair to veneer to back and overpainting to grain, the same chair also has a significant loss to the tip of one 'claw' foot. All six chairs are a little 'wobbly' when sat on a flat surface as all four feet do not seem to touch the floor at the same time. All chairs with fading to the veneers, surface scratches, cracklelure and some losses esp. to edges. Upholstery appears to be a fairly recent cream vinyl and is in good order but would benefit from a clean. Overall the suite is structurally sound but has typical wear commensurate with age and would benefit from some minor attention.
