A framed, hand tinted John Speed Map of Penbrokshire ''Penbrokshuyr defscribed and the Sittuations both of Penbroke and St Davids flewed in due form as they were taken by John Speed'' with crests including that of ''Anne Bolleyne, Marchionefse'', "Ed Prince of Wales", etc, 15 5/8'' x 21 5/8'', mounted in a double sided glazed frame with a printed description of "Pembrokeshire" and "An Alphabetical Table of the Townes, Rivers and Places mentioned in Pembroke-fshire" visible to the reverse side.
An Eastern hardwood circular occasional Table, the circular top having a frieze with trailing flowering stems, the centre with a circular carved depiction of a pavilion with a shrine and guarded by Elephants shading beneath palm trees, raised on three legs each depicting an Elephant (with tusks) and bead eyes, 18'' diameter x 20 1/4'' high.
A lacquered oriental Workbox/Table, the shaped hinged lid with a depiction of lakeside pavilions and a procession (surrounded by four toed dragons) lifting to reveal an interior with various compartments, four having lids with scenes of lift amidst pavilions and gardens, the friezes similarly decorated and the whole raised on fretworked side supports with well-carved paw feet. The fabric sides to the work storage well are rather dilapidated, 25 1/2'' wide x 17 1/18'' deep x 27'' high approx.
A black lacquered oriental Games Table, the top profusely depicting an Emperor surrounded by servants and figures going about their lives amidst multiple lakeside pavilions, gardens, terraces, bridges, etc., the surround depicts country scenes with vignettes of animals, gardens, lion dogs, etc., similar scenes in gold contrasting with the black background adorn the friezes, there being three drawers to the front, the largest containing playing case, scoring cards, etc. The whole is raised on a turned support with a triangular platform base terminating in three paw feet beautifully decorated in gold with stylised flowering stems and having an unusual birdcage typed top. A panel to the top is removable revealing a backgammon gaming board beneath, 24 1/2'' x 20'' x 33'' tall.
