A Victorian walnut turnover top card table, rectangular, with marquetry corners, turned supports, centre stretcher and downswept scroll legs terminating in castors. Width 36 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The top of the piece is well figured, not warped and in generally very good condition. The green baize lined interior is in generally good condition as is the banded edge. The hinges are solid and original. The piece is structurally very sound. The four turned supports are in good order as is the centre stretcher and the four legs. They all have their original castors. There is no evidence of any woodworm or any repairs to the piece. There is a turned finial to either side between the supports. The right hand finial has the top section missing and the left hand side finial is rubbed and scuffed. These are the only minor issues.
A 19th century Chippendale style snap top occasional table, with moulded piecrust edge, turned and foliate column and raised on three downswept legs terminating in claw feet. Diameter 21.5 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This table is probably circa 1930 or at best Edwardian. It is generally in good condition and could be used or resold without the need for any repair or restoration. The top is well figured and flat and the centre column in good order. The piece looks to have been repolished at some point within the last 10 years.
A walnut Queen Anne style extending dining table, with three leaves, carved edge, recessed frieze and raised on cabriole legs with gilt painted shell and bellflower ornament and with claw and ball feet. Length extended 106 ins, width 47 ins. CONDITION REPORT: The length excluding the two removable leaves is 65 ins. The table would not further dismantle for transport unfortunately. The condition is generally first class and the table could be used or resold in its current condition without the need for any repairs or restoration. It really is in very good order with only very minor blemishes that one might expect from a table of this age.
An Edwardian mahogany sofa table, in the Regency style, fitted to either side with one actual and one dummy drawer with brass knob handles and each flap with rounded corners, with silhouette end supports united by a turned stretcher and with downswept reeded legs terminating in brass capped castors. Width 32 ins.
An early 20th century oak extending dining table, with pull out action, scroll carved frieze, four bulbous turned legs united by stretchers and raised on short bun feet. Width 48 ins, length closed 66 ins, open 108 ins. CONDITION REPORT: The two leaves and top detach. The height from the floor to the table top excluding the leaves is 28 ins and the length of the base 61 ins.
A Regency/William IV rosewood chess table, with penwork top depicting pastoral scenes, fruiting vine and cornucopia and with chessboard centre, with moulded edge above a frieze drawer containing a Cantonese chess set in red and white bone, height of king 13 cm, and raised on turned end supports and short bun feet. Width 71 cm, depth 56 cm (see illustrations). CONDITION REPORT: We cannot see any makers marks or names on either the table or the chess pieces.
A specimen wood centre table, with crossbanded moulded edge, four downswept supports and cruciform base. Diameter 54.5 ins. CONDITION REPORT: The table is probably no more than 40 years old. We do not know who made it. The principle woods are oak, boxwood, burr walnut and walnut. The crossbanding on the base is probably rosewood.
A William IV rosewood circular occasional table, with snap action to turned and carved column with circular base raised on four lions paw feet. Diameter 25.5 ins. CONDITION REPORT: This is not a marriage. The top is flat and not warped. It is in good condition with only very minor blemishes. The top is a little loose on its base. The top snaps shut as it should but there is some movement between the base block and top of the turned column. This could be easily sorted. The base itself is in generally good condition with only minor scuffs and blemishes as one would expect. The construction of the centre column is in sections and the joins between the sections are visible. The base is in reasonably good order as are the feet. The table could be used in its current condition but ideally requires a clean and light polish.
A William IV mahogany turnover top tea table, raised on a stylised tulip carved stem with quatreform base and downswept scroll feet. Width 35 ins. CONDITION REPORT: The table is not particularly faded in reality. It is a little but has never been particularly dark. The condition of the piece is generally good.
A blue glazed ware lamp base, with electrical fitting and drilled for flex. Height excluding fitting 13 ins. CONDITION REPORT: This lamp is in extremely good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. It is obviously a vase converted to a table lamp for the avoidance of any doubt.
A mahogany canteen of Leigh & Wigfull silver plated cutlery, twelve place settings and contained within a Regency style four drawer cabinet with brass drop handles with lion mask backplates and raised on tapered legs of square section terminating in spade feet. Width 36 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: We do not know the name of the pattern on the cutlery. It is basically a rose. A silver table cigarette box, repousse with angels, putto and chariot, London 1903. Width 5.25 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This cigarette case has some minor problems. The front left corner of the top has a small fracture. The hinges are broken. The hallmarks are clear. The base itself is in generally good condition with only minor surface scratches and dints. A silver and enamel cut glass dressing table set, by Adie Brothers, Birmingham 1928 (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This lot is in generally good condition. The glass tray is in good order with no chips or damage. There are two tiny edge chips to the bottom edge of the small lidded compartment, however these are almost insignificant. The two glass bottles are in good condition. The enamel is slightly rubbed on the edge of both bottle tops. There is also a tiny enamel loss to one corner of the smaller lidded box. These losses are minimal. The length of the tray is 9 ins. Width 4.5 ins, height of glass bottles 3.75 ins, width of caskets 3.75 ins at the widest point.
