Robert Mouseman Thompson (1876-1955): An English Oak 6'6'' Refectory Dining Table, 1920's/30's, adzed both sides, dowelled three plank top, on two octagonal legs joined by a floor stretcher, with two carved mice trademarks running up and down the legs, 198cm by 91.5cm, 73cm high (top 4.5cm thick) See illustration . The base has cracks in one leg and the stretcher. The top has surface wear with a ring and water mark, scratches, gaps in the joints. Repairs to the underside on dowelling. Wear consistant with age and use.
