An 18th century (possibly Irish) mahogany writing table, the rectangular top inset with a later leather surface above a Greek key carved frieze with single frieze drawer, on cabriole legs with acanthus carved knees and ball & claw feet, the drawer looks to be an adaption to the table, 92cms (36ins) wide.Condition Reportinset leather top a later addition but well aged. one piece of beading missing approx. 14cm long above the left hand front knee on the frieze. a piece of veneer missing above the back right knee of the frieze approx. 15cm long. back right knee has age shrinkage crack, front right ball and claw has a small section missing. the drawer is a later addition/adaption, drawer front has a section of the Greek key moulding missing approx. 5cm long. the underside of the table has several repair(see photos) front left table top corner loose. sounds worse than it looks.
